Mini Sweet Peppers: Colorful, Crunchy, and Flavorful

One of my favorite snacks is mini sweet peppers. I enjoy them with or without low-fat salad dressings or dips, and they never disappoint. Honestly, it’s their natural sweetness, crisp crunch, and vibrant colors—reds, oranges, and yellows that draw me to them every time. I keep them on hand!

Mini sweet peppers have a mild, sweet flavor (without heat), making them perfect for eating raw. Their texture is juicy yet crunchy, which pairs beautifully with creamy or tangy dips. Whether I’m grabbing a quick bite during the day or adding more color to my salad, they’re always a satisfying choice. And let’s not forget, they are also rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which makes them just as nourishing as they are tasty.

A Few Ways I Love To Eat Them Raw:

With low-fat ranch, bleu cheese, or Italian dressing

Dipped in hummus (classic, roasted red pepper, or garlic)

Paired with a low-fat Greek yogurt dip (recipe below)

Stuffed with light cream cheese

Over a nice green salad

Quick & Easy Yogurt Veggie Dip

Ingredients

1 cup plain nonfat or low-fat Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried dill or parsley

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix all ingredients until smooth.
  2. Chill for 10–15 minutes to let the flavors come together.
  3. Serve with fresh, mini sweet peppers for dipping. Also great with fresh broccoli florets, cucumber slices, celery sticks, and baby carrots.

Simple, colorful, crunchy, and full of flavor—mini sweet peppers are a healthy choice to add as a snack option or as a salad topping. Give them a try!🫑
