What Canned Foods Do You Keep On Hand?

If you follow me on social media, you know that I like to celebrate, or recognize, national food holidays or months. Well, the month of February is National Chocolate Lovers’ Month, National Potato Lovers’ Month, National Hot Breakfast Month, Snack Month, Cherry Month and National Canned Food Month! Y’all, who knew celebrating canned foods was a thing? I most certainly didn’t.

Besides preparing for natural disasters, I do not buy many canned goods. However, I do keep a variety of canned beans and peas on hand. I love both, but I am not a fan of the soaking and cooking process. Also, I do keep canned tomatoes (diced, stewed, sauce and paste) on hand to add to different dishes. Hurricane season is probably the only time my pantry is stocked with canned foods. I tend to stock up on canned vegetables, fruits, soups and canned fish. Besides what is already mentioned, I do have a lot of random canned foods in my pantry that I never seem to get around to eating like canned peanuts and sliced bamboo shoots.

Question: What canned foods do you typically keep on hand?
